Ukraine ranked 7th in Chainalysis’ 2026 Global Crypto Adoption Index

Ukraine has entered the top ten global leaders in the adoption of crypto assets. According to the latest report from the analytics platform Chainalysis, the country has risen to 7th place among 117 countries. Danylo Getmantsev, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, taxes, and customs policy, spoke about this positive trend.

In the global ranking, Ukraine was surpassed only by Brazil, the United States, Nigeria, Japan, South Korea, and India.

On-chain activity: Demand for stablecoins has skyrocketed despite the market downturn
. The study covers the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Analysts assessed overall activity by considering the volume of retail and P2P transfers, exchange traffic, and wallet balances.

It is interesting to compare these data with those from traditional finance and the overall market conditions. During the reporting period, the total market capitalization of the crypto market fell by approximately 50%, or $2.1 trillion. At the same time, the total volume of the crypto economy declined only slightly, by just 1.6% (from $9.5 trillion to $9.4 trillion).

Stablecoins became the main driver of activity, effectively becoming the standard for settlements. The volume of cross-border transactions using digital dollars showed rapid growth of 77.5%, rising from $124.2 billion to $220.3 billion.

End of the period of regulatory uncertainty: second reading of Bill No. 10225-d
. While discussing the report, Danylo Getmantsev highlighted an important point. Despite the enormous volume of actual transactions, the Ukrainian crypto market still operates in a gray area. Virtual assets lack a clear legal status, and there is no system for licensing exchanges or clear tax regulations.

Bill No. 10225-d is intended to resolve this issue:

The Verkhovna Rada has already adopted it in principle, and the document is currently being finalized for the second reading.

The law is intended to officially establish the status of cryptocurrencies, protect the rights of asset owners and users, and establish transparent rules for taxing profits.

It is planned that the drafting will be completed and the bill put to a vote as early as October.

Industry Overview

Growing interest from ordinary users and large institutional investors has coincided with a significant development in mining. For the first time in the last 280 days, the price of Bitcoin has settled above the cost of mining, which JPMorgan experts estimate at approximately $85,000. Historically, this indicator is considered a sign that the bear market has come to an end.
