In 2023, Solana Mobile released a phone called the Solana Saga, which cost $599 at launch.
The main selling point wasn’t just the phone itself: Saga owners received a free Saga Genesis Token NFT, as well as access to special bonuses and apps in the Solana dApp Store. Later, some of the perks for Saga owners became quite valuable due to the growing interest in meme tokens and NFTs.
